OMAD High LDL and Non- HDL

I have been following OMAD and eating healthy for 5 months - good carbs (brown rice, no bread), healthy fats (Avocado, Almonds \~ handful, Brazil nuts ~ 2, peanuts - handful), Low sugar (fruit and dates), veggies and protein (chicken - whole or breast, salmon, sardines). Also taking multivitamin, vitamin d 5000 IU and fish oil 2000mg. I also workout 4 times a week. Caffeine intake - None.

Age: 36, BMI is 26.

I recently got my blood works done and noticed that cholesterol has raised:

  1. Triglycerides is down to 100 from 300 - Green

  2. Cholesterol is 198 (was 194) - Green

  3. HDL 45 (from 38) - Green

  4. LDL 130 (up from 115) - Red

  5. Non HDL 150 (same as last time) - Red

LDL went up and Non-HDL is same but both are high.

Any recommendations, what should I do/try different in OMAD, reduce calories ?

I work as a paramedic and with that being said, my expertise in lab levels aren’t top notch but I know enough to say that your HDL levels will in turn help lower your LDL naturally. If you have a family history of hypercholesterolemia, it might be a good idea to talk to your doctor in regard to taking some statins to help reduce your LDL. I know, taking medication sucks, but there’s nothing we can do about our genetics. High LDL will eventually lead to high risks of stroke, heart attacks, embolisms in the lungs… which are all debilitating or deadly.
