OMAD: How to get used to it + question on exercise

I have been fasting 16:8 and occasionally 18:6 on/off for some time. But I find it difficult to achieve consistency – especially on weekends – and tend to fall off the fasting wagon.

Instead, I have considered trying OMAD on weekdays and a more loose regime on weekends. But I would like to hear OMAD-experiences from those of you who have tried it and have managed to hold on for some time (or still do).

  1. I imagine it’s pretty rough in the beginning. But how long does it usually take for the body to get used to OMAD - and how do you cope with hunger? Do you experience a loss of focus and/or energy during work? I work primarily on my computer, so no physical hard labor or anything even close :)

  2. I usually work out 3-4 times a week, primarily weights, but also cardio. How does regular exercise compute with OMAD, based on your experience?

Thanks 🙏🏻

Been doing OMAD for a long time so I can’t tell you how long exactly it took to get used to it.

But I can switch back and forth between OMAD and snacking all day and not even think about it. Once you realize (and put time into fasting) you aren’t going to die after 6hours without food and that is just the hormone ghrelin trying to control you, it makes it easier.

I have a medium physical job? Half computer half hands on climbing around and fixing aircrafts. Never had an issue. My old job was very physical and never had an issue. It was even better because I’d never crash after lunch like 95% of the guys did. Food comas.

Some peoples lifts go down a bit when first starting IF, if you’re just about numbers then be prepared for the potential drop.
