Me too. That’s my plan starting 2 Jan

I was pushing obesity a few months ago. I am now down to a BMI of 25.

I did it through a drastic starvation diet for 42-days. I call it my lettuce fast. I ate up to a pound of lettuce each day. This is just crunchy water, but it helped me through. I also had cream in my two coffees. It all came to 400 calories and 10 carbs a day. It worked but I never want to do it again

So my plan is almost the same as yours. OMAD is easy for me. That was how I ate on my 42-day lettuce fast. But I know I can still put on weight doing OMAD, God knows how. So I plan to do two 2- or 3-day fasts over then next 3 weeks. Let’s hope that works

I’ve tried doing 2-day fasts before but failed 100x. I would plan in the morning to eat nothing, but then get besieged by the evening nibble impulse and eat half the fridge. This time, I know I can beat it if I have a big bowl of lettuce instead.

That is 6-7 carbs of lettuce max, with salt. If I got through 42 days on this, and lost 10% of my body weight, I should be able to manage 2 or 3 days now

I’ve been mostly OMAD for 2 years now, and I eat well, but I put on weight regardless. I still eat too much! CICO is real! I regard this as an absolute hard fact about myself. Even with the best diet and eating OMAD, I will always put on weight. This means that the only way I can control my weight is by fasting. If I can manage a 2- or 3-day fast a fortnight, until I die, I would be very happy

Im a Jan 2nd restart person too.

I started fasting in the middle of August.

I did 2 weeks of 20:4, then 4 weeks of OMAD

Then 8-9 weeks of rolling 48s

I went from 335 to 280

I’ve taken all of December off from fasting and have maintained my weight loss.

Come Jan 2 I’m going back to rolling 48s. I find it easier to just stick to that, then to flip back and forth from OMAD to a 48hr fast.

Answer

I just started rolling 48s again. Typically I do OMAD the other days, but CICO at about 1200 cals.

I lost about 25 lbs last year with this method, and gained about 1/2 back when I stopped… So here I go again. Good luck to you! You got this!
