OMAD’s ain’t working anymore

My usual OMADs ain’t working anymore, their only sustaining but not losing any weight. Has anyone plateaued before? Lots ton of weight originally but after Covid lockdowns I put the weight back.

Any suggestions? Do I need to do a longer fast or something to kick back the metabolism again?

I think this is why I steered to the 48:24 too. And I don’t worry about carbs too much on my 24 but keep it under 75. I think it incorporates carb-cycling into the IF. That way there is not a plateau. Ir at least that is what I’m hoping will happen. My birthday is a month away and I think I will definitely know if it works or not by that time.

Answer

Like same type of food? Kind of up to you. For cal in and cal out. Try to think of it weekly rather than daily. So if you fast for 3 days straight then your remaining cals are easier to stay in deficit plus you receive all other benefits of extended fasting. Like I try to do 2 big ones per week 48 hrs + and then OMAD or alternate day fasting all other days. Eat relatively healthy with no restrictions. And I’ve been losing 10 lbs per months for the last 5 months.

Answer

Eat less, move more. Many people subconsciously reduce movement like twitches, fidgeting, or just generally are less active when dieting. Stay busy, do physically active tasks, even things like more cleaning or gardening, playing with a pet, are good additions to maintain non-exercise energy usage.

Answer

maybe try eating your maintenance calories for a week. Your body has gotten used to eating that little calories so you are no longer losing weight. I’m currently on maintenance and yes it feels weird to eat pizza at 4 pm

Answer

Mix in 36 or 48 hr fast in your week. Once or twice a week. You will be surprised. If you aren’t ready for that then you need to change something in your diet. I like to eat the same foods on almost a daily basis. I do that for a while and make a switch for a few weeks to see how my body responds.

Answer

Age, height, weight, sex, any pre existing conditions or prescription meds that might interfere with hormones.

Without that info nobody can help.

Oh, and please ignore the ignorant comments about calorie deficits and CICO. I don’t know why that idiocy is still allowed in comments here.
