I had a medical issue and shot up from 150 to 180 in 3 months. Even though I was dirty fasting (damn you, oat milk) for months and working out I didn’t lose at all, but gained another 10lbs in a few months.
However! After just one single week of CICO with a food scale with clean fasting, I am down 6lbs! I spent so long thinking my body was broken but no. I just was not CICO. This is your sign to get a food scale if you are having issues losing! I’m not even really restricting that much, eating an average of 1800-1900 cals a day. But I am correctly portioning my food and clean fasting.

Brilliant! Congratulations on your weight loss! I’m with you with combining IF and CICO. I had a success with only IF for the first three weeks, but I was worried that I didn’t eat my macros, especially protein. I wasn’t sure about how big my calorie deficit was. I decided to track what I eat and collect data to be more mindful. It really works nicely for me. Good luck on the rest of your journey!
