Hey guys, I saw quite a few people say and “prove” that fasting has no benefits beyond caloric deficit and weight loss. What’s your opinion on that?
Personally I don’t feel the need to prove anything to anyone.
People will notice my weight loss and ask about it, and the best thing is to say the minimum that you possibly can, be a bit self-deprecating and minimize it. don’t be self-righteous or make it part of your identity.
If people “concern” troll you, the “where was your concern when i was killing myself with food and alcohol?” line works out pretty well.
When faced with the inevitable “your body goes into starvation mode and holds onto to fat!” I always make the joke, “listen the anorexics wouldn’t do it if it didn’t work” and ppl leave me alone after that.
