Overeating

I’ve been going strong with IF for a few months now. Highest Weight was 263 and got down to 234. Lately I’ve been overeating and got back up to 240. I need tips on how to stop myself. It feels like I have a bug in my head. I feel very disgusted and disappointed at myself after shoving all the food down my throat. I hate this…

Answer

I have this problem a lot as well. Tracking what I eat helps put things into perspective, staying heavily hydrated and drinking ACV helps suppress appetite.

If you have one day of binging, don’t beat yourself up and consider it over, look ahead, try again, and keep pressing on.

I pasted this elsewhere, but:

>Don’t eat a starvation diet when you’re fasting. Eat whole foods that are nutrient dense. Eat healthy fats. Eliminate excess sugars and seed oils. Cut out grains and starches where possible.

Answer

I love food. When I first started IF I was shocked by how much I found myself thinking about food and what i was going to eat. Now, I just think about what I’m going to eat.

The struggle is mental as well as physical.

Answer

Overeating inside the window? Or breaking your fast open and eating late?

It’s definitely hard. Calorie control. Portion control. You may need to be more restrictive with what you are allowed. Like specifically the things you binge in can’t be near you. There are some things you can volume eat and it might be good to consider planning that on a regular basis….keeping in mind they aren’t awesome things. Celery, carrots, bell peppers, green beans etc.
