Overweight vs lean results?

So I’m no stranger to the world of fasting. I’ve completed a couple dry and water fasts a couple years ago while living out of the country. Durring that time in my life I was relatively lean. (M 6’0 220 lbs) well it’s been a couple years now back in the states and I’ve been enjoying my carbs. Currently sitting at about 260 or so. I’d love to get back to 220 or so. I feel like a lot of what I have in my body now is toxins, and fat cells. I’ve been doing moderate exercise the last few days and am thinking my body just needs to heal before I start attempting to grow muscle. Is this a correct way of thinking or am I just overthinking this?

If you have a lot of fat mass, the amount of fat you burn will be much more. As you get leaner, your body starts burning less fat to stay alive. but the fat burning rate is still very high. this is not like the weight loss slowdown in modern weight loss diets.

In modern weight loss diets, since a calorie deficit is created, the body adapts to that calorie after a while. You stop burning fat. Even if you consume normal calories afterwards, you start to gain weight because your metabolism is slow.

Fasting is not like this, only if your fat percentage is too low, your metabolism will slow down.

Also, I didn’t read what you wrote at first :D.

Anyway, you can do the exercises while fasting. Provided it’s not too hard. For example, do not work with heavy weights. Even if you want to work muscle, work with low weights and high reps. but it will be better to start weight training after burning fat.

Hmm IMO I would try a Dry 22-24 hr routine and you can definitely train on this. Then if you want on the weekend throw in a 36+ (either dry or regular fast) that will help you build muscle and get into the habit of training plus you will 100% get the benefits of healing and detoxing for the body. I have lots of experience with this routine so lmk if you have any questions :)
