PCOS and IF?

I’ve googled all the googles. I know the research appears to be inconclusive whether IF improves insulin regulation, which can be a symptom/contributing factor in PCOS, or actually make it WORSE in women. I’ve been doing IF since around October, and have lost about 35lbs. Nothing to sneeze at! (Although I probably would do better if I was super strict, and I’m not). But I also have a recent PCOS diagnosis and am wondering whether I’m helping or hurting myself. Surely the weight loss can only help? I have no blood sugar issues at the moment other that feeling a little faint towards the end of my fast. And I’m just staring treatment (BC and spironolactone).

I know, I know, I should ask my doctor. The thing is I’m afraid to ask because I feel like the answer will be that small, balanced meals throughout the day are better regardless, just because that’s the standard nutrition advice, and I’ve always struggled to manage my weight that way.

Anyway, just curious if anyone else out there has experience—good bad or ugly.
