Pink Himalayan Salt Vs Regular Table Salt

Just curious what people’s experience has been with Pink Himalayan vs Table Salt. My wife is on a Pink Himalayan Salt kick so it’s all I have in the house.

Answer

The biggest difference is iodine compared to iodized salt when looking at himalayan salt.

The trace minerals in himalayan salt are…really, really small amounts. Not enough to make a difference. And iodine is something everyone needs and does need to be supplemented on longer fasts, so it’s much easier to just get in through table salt.

That being said…himalayan pink salt is yummy AF so it’s definitely got that going for it!

If it’s a shorter fast (less than 5 days), you’ll be fine with what you have on hand!

Answer

Pink Himalaya Salt is a healthier, unrefined and much tastier option.

We noticed that when using it for cooking the salty taste actually remains in the meal and doesn’t disappear like regular table salt.

We’ll never go back!
