That’s not much to go on friend, any more details you can give?

Sometimes plateaus are just something to work through. That can mean just sticking with it, re-examining all the aspects and numbers, or taking a break.

Otherwise if nothing else is going on, you’re ultimately either in a surplus, maintenance, or deficit and will gain, maintain, or lose accordingly. So if you’re not losing weight, then you’re eating too much.

Answer

I’ve been losing weight for over a year and now am just maintaining because I’m happy with my current weight. The way I’ve always avoided Plateaus is by overeating every two weeks. Now I do it every week. I don’t mean binge eat until you stomach churns, I mean eat about 300 calories above the calories you use up in a day. This helps the body recognize that it is getting enough food to keep burning the same amount of calories without slowing down.

If you are at a caloric deficit for a whole month without ever consuming more calories, your body will adapt to the calories you are giving it, thus creating a plateau. I don’t think an extended fast would help, but that’s an uneducated opinion.
