Plateaued weight loss

Hi! New here, sorry for format and if I sound a bit clueless.

Been IF for about a year now, started slowly and I’ve lost 30lbs. Feeling good!

I’ve noticed my weight loss has stalled though, but I don’t want to starve myself by eating basically nothing, because that just isn’t maintainable and I want this to continue to be a life long change.

I don’t eat breakfast, and I stop eating 8 hours from my first meal. So basically I start at 12:00pm and stop at 8pm. I was wondering if there is anything anyone eats that’s filling at lunch? I find myself eating lots of little things because I’m hungry and not satisfied, and I think that’s my problem.

Thanks for any input!

When my weight loss plateaued towards October-December last year I took a “cheat week” the last week of December and I upped my calories for the day and wasn’t fasting for that week and the week after I went back to my regular fasting schedule and started to lose weight again. As far as not feeling hungry throughout the day in between meals drinking water helps also I like to have big meals that are low in calories so I am not snacking throughout the day as much. Sugar free jello is my favorite snack as for a while package of the jello mix is like 40cals or less for like 2 cups of jello

Congrats on the weight loss!As you lose weight your body needs fewer calories to sustain itself (check the TDEE calculator for the numbers). On my IF journey I’ve had to gradually increased the fasting hours to compensate. Try adding a couple of days of OMAD each week - it will make a difference. I’ve also learned that diet and macros are super important to nourish your body properly after fasting. High quality protein meals and plenty of fiber from fresh fruits/veggies will make you feel better the next day during your fast.

Try and eliminate sugars/processed foods/refined carbs, these can make you feel bad. Doing something inbetween paleo and keto really helped me.Also, try to eliminate booze. This was another thing that made a huge difference for me as it’s empty calories. Finally - exercise. If there’s some kind of workout you enjoy, try it in moderation while fasted. It will kick start ketosis and also help on the scale.

Good luck and keep it up!!! Do each change gradually, too much change can be overwhelming.💪

No snacks. Make 3 meals. Make sure enough food at each meal so you don’t need to snack.

You’ll break your plateau.

Are you eating whole foods or standard American food? That will make a big difference.
