Are there any health benefits to chewing on the white seeds in the pomegranate arils?
There’s a difference between lightly chewing on the arils to get the juice out, and then swallowing the white seeds without chewing on them versus chewing through the white seeds too. Are there any significant differences health-benefit wise between the two ways of eating?
It’s entirely preference. Like other seeds, they will contain a lot of nutrients likely including minerals, vitamins, fiber, some fats/protein etc., but on the flip side, some people don’t like the texture and if a seed is particularly tough, there might be a risk of chipping teeth
