Poor sleep on zero calories = high blood pressure

Hello - F, 44, 157cm, CW 66kgs, GW55kgs here. I have been trying to move towards water and zero calories fasting and increase my window to 48-72 hours. But lack of good sleep on the fasting nights is worsening my high blood pressure. After reading many posts here I started taking magnesium supplements, turned off screens 2-3 hours before bedtime and followed pretty much everything that’s advised to get a good sleep. Unfortunately, none of it is helping. The next day I feel low on energy, tired and my appetite goes haywire. But the spike in my BP readings is causing the biggest concern. I don’t want my doctor to tell me to stop ADF but eating 300-400 has slowed down my progress.

Anyone here with similar sleep issues? How long does it usually take for the sleep cycle to re-adjust? Thanks.

Answer

I am also having trouble getting to sleep, but Im not being very proactive on forcing the issue. Im interested in looking into Mate for increasing my fast burning and it is shown to lower bp so that might be a side benefit I get. Mines not very high tho.
