Hi,
It may be a stupid question. Sorry in advance. I was trying to search it in group but I could not.
I am now in 90h of fast and I actually needed to poop. How the heck it is possible? I honestly thought there is nothing left in my gutts. I know it may gross you out, but I am genuinely curious. 😅 How far in fast you stop pooping? 120h? 240h?
My last 7 day fast I pooped on day 5. Was a surprise 😅
I’ll follow this for my own education too. I had assumed that the fasting process would stop my guts peristalsis and therefore not move things along.
Worth noting that a sizeable percentage of your poop when not fasting is dead cells and bacteria that’s just a part of the normal process of cell turnover and cell turnover doesn’t just stop when you’re fasting.
Apparently, in parts of Europe, they encourage you to give yourself an enema on day one of an extended fast to clear out the last of it all. Staves off headaches and other such issues related to waiting days for it to come out on its own. 🤷♀️
