That’s a pretty big meal already. How many calories is that? Potatoes rock, so if they do what you want them to do go for it, but they are calorific, so if you’re trying to stay in a deficit just be sure you still are.
don’t use instant oatmeal, but steel cut oats. of course you’ll have to cook them - best the evening before - but it makes a big difference. you can always add some other goodies, like buckwheat or red lentils to make a porridge that’s guaranteed to last until past lunchtime.
