Preparation to do rolling 48 hour fasts

I’m planning to start doing rolling 48 hour fasts after new years, and I want to get ready in advance so I can be successful. Would it be easier if I do ADF until New Years? Are there any particular foods you recommend eating or avoiding to keep away cravings?

I would also love to hear what others experience with rolling 48 hour fasts was like.

Answer

I agree with nutrient rich meals since you will have fewer of them and the mistake I made was not eating enough calories during eating days. You just feel way tired and sluggish. Corrected that and way easier to do next time around. I also recommend doing carbohydrate refeed day or 2 days about 1x a week, it really helps mental benefits and helps keep the weight loss going (at least for me it does). I did it by accident few times and noticed the scale was moving faster. You can Google it, it’s a thing.

edit: still avoid snacking in-between meals even on non fasting days. Snacking between meals can have a significant impact for me
