Prescriptions While Drinking Snake Juice

Hey everyone! I’ve been off and on with my weight loss for the last 10 years since losing 110lbs then gaining it all back. I found Cole and subsequently The Snake Diet, a while back but decided to try regular IF and throw in a short term fast to try and get this damn weight back off.

I have high BP and a high resting heart rate, likely due to a combination of the excess fat/weight and life stress.

Regarding the Snake Juice, I am on Losartan which is a drug that has a precaution regarding excessive consumption of potassium. This is due to it causing high levels of potassium in the blood.

Would you recommend speaking with my doctor, and explaining to her how much potassium I would consume daily with the Snake Juice? Or nix the idea all together until I can lose enough weight to manage BP/HR without medicine?

Answer

Maybe do the snake juice without the potassium. Dr.Jason Fung, also a proponent of fasting, and an MD recommends taking salt but not potassium, because salt is considered potassium sparing, meaning if you have enough salt, your body will hold onto its potassium.

Answer

Or Try Water & Himalayan salt, Dry Fasting, or an extended intermitted fasting plan. And for the stress, try a 30 day guided meditation, you can find free video on YouTube or download CALM in the App Store.
