I saw a guy on YT introducing this concept. So you basically drink protein shakes and no carbs in your fasting window and can eat whatever u want in the regular eating window. Is that a good way to fast? If someone educated on this concept or have tried it in the past, kindly let me know in the comments.
You drink protein shake during your fasting window and it’s no longer a fast.
If you want to integrate a shake then take it either as a fast-breaker 1 hour before your meal or as a dessert after your final meal.
A protein shake has a lot of calories, so you are definitely out of a fast after that. Low carb yes but not low calorie.
Having almost pure protein after a fast has other uses, and can be effective in a different way, but no you’re certainly not fasting after that point.
Don’t worry about labels. If you try it and it works, great. Doesn’t matter that it isn’t IF. If it doesn’t work, then you know.
BTW, if you can get through a few days the hunger you are experiencing will subside. Try herbal teas or sparkling water that are flavored but unsweetened.
