Protein serving on food packaging

If a packed food says it contains, for example, 25g of protein, is that accounting for its bioavailability because I know something like whey has around 100% protein bioavailability but soya is closer to 60%, so would it be closer to 15g for the soya or is that taken into consideration?

Is this something I should consider during meal prep or not?

Answer

The specific bioavailability of whey protein ≈ 94%, while the bioavailability of soy protein ≈ 74%. Product labeling does not factor in the bioavailability. It indicates the amount of protein present in a product, from which you can calculate.
