Hi everyone, I am looking to lose 30 pounds of postpartum weight and trying to combine keto diet with prolonged fasts (36- 76 hours). I found the fasts to be ok but the keto carbs is what I really struggle with. I feel like 25 net carbs are not enough during my no fasting days. Would it be a good idea if I increase it to 30-35 as long as I fast at least 3 days a week?
Thanks π
I think how many carbs you can handle while still being in ketosis is so individualized that itβs hard to prescribe an amount. Iβve been using a ketone and glucose meter to check myself. Thereβs no guessing then. I ate some beans today and I was still in ketosis which I think the internet would probably say βno those are carbs - not keto!β (Depending on what your source is). Anyway, if you have a meter, then you know definitely how different amounts of carbs and different types of carbs affect YOU.
If you are still breast feeding you might need more carbs ? And maybe it would be better for you if you did intermittent fasting at first :) congratulations on your baby and good luck on your weight loss βπ½πβπ½
