Question about meals and fasting

So basically I’m on a one meal a day fast but since I work out in the morning (muscles) I would realistically need to eat in the morning after working out. But now that I’m fasting and eating at around 4-5pm due to school and no time, could I realistically have one protein shake in the morning to get the protein I need and still eat later, or would that break my fast completely? If I wait until 4-5pm to eat protein, will it still be effective for building muscle? Or do you think I should have a bulk week and a cut week and etc?

Answer

Each gram of protein is 4 calories, so a protein shake will absolutely end a fast.

My two cents, most of the timing stuff is at best maximizing the last few percentages and often just fitness industry trying to sell stuff. If you’re working out consistently and getting daily protein that’s most of what matters.

Answer

Technically it will break your fast, but you’re likely to get the results you’re after (if not perhaps even faster) with a P.Shake in the morning, a workout, and OMAD. Try not to let fasting take over your mental health, if you need a shake for sustenance then have a shake my dude
