question about multiple 72 hour fasting & refeeding

So im moving to a schedule of 72 hour fast-1 refeed day-back into 72 hour fast, repeat.

does my refeed day sort ‘reset’ all my nutrients so i wont have to be concerned with refeeding super carefully like one would after 10+ day fasts? i break fasts slowly with meat, sometimes bone broth but just dont want to have to worry about doing it 100% perfectly each time to avoid refeed syndrome

Answer

72 hours isnt enough for you to have to worry about it. I don’t know the specific mechanism off the top of my head but its not something to do with “resetting” nutrients. Ive been doing them for a few weeks now. I broke my fast today with ahalf of a leftover steak, then had 4 sushi rolls and fried tempura.

Ive done pho (go easy on the chili paste) and even a large papa murphys thin crust. Did not do anything special, just shoveled food in my mouth.

The term refeeding syndrome appears to be overused here.
