Question about working out on a Warrior's Diet

Hi, I am currently following a Warrior’s Diet style of IF so its a 20:4 method where I only eat from 6pm to 10pm and wanted to ask those of you with similar IF setup about how you are incorporating workout into your eating regime - Do you workout in the fasting period on empty stomach, do you eat something small at the beginning of the eating period, then go to the gym or do you eat a large meal first, then go to the gym after its somewhat digested and eat the rest after?

Answer

Day 50 of fasting on the warrior diet for me. I work out early in the morning 8am for 45 mins, high intensity interval training. I feel absolutely awesome. Break fast at 5pm. Sleep by 11pm. Getting enough electrolytes works wonders. I personally use those dr berg electrolyte packets.

I have a similar IF eating window from starting out with Warrior Diet. I usually workout in the morning because that’s the best time in my daily schedule. It’s more important that you are exercising and watching your food intake in some way than it is what time of the day that you choose to do certain things.

You’ll be fine. Stay hydrated.

Answer

If your schedule allows it, workout, eat, fast (sleep at the tail end of the fast). I played around with timing for a full year. This is what gave me best results. At first you’ll feel weak in your workouts, but after a while it won’t feel any different than eating 2h before your workouts.
