Question around hunger queues and fasting.

I have experimented with finding out exactly how long it takes for me to be hungry lately. I would do this by not eating anything from the moment I wake up, until I absolutely need too.

I have noticed that, when doing this, I only really tend to be properly hungry once a day, usually somewhere around 12pm-4pm. When I eat, I no longer feel hungry and that feeling never returns. This would lead me to believe that eating once a day would suit me best.

Here’s the issue, I can’t particularly stomach much food in one go. Which means I would have to eat another meal. However, considering that I just don’t feel hungry after my first meal, this is difficult.

I’m already pretty thin and I’m not sure how healthy it would be for me to only eat one meal (a nutritious one, mind you) The main reason I’ve been looking into intermittent fasting is to find a workaround for my lower appetite. Forcing myself to eat in the past when I don’t feel hungry has just been miserable.

Anyone got any advice?

Answer

Maybe two meals per day will be your answer. First before 12 pm and second close to 4 pm. You can start with cutting your daily food intake in half and have two balanced meals. Give yourself time to try this out. If this didn’t work, maybe you would prefer to have a first meal bigger than the second or vice versa. Make sure you are meeting your caloric needs. Good luck!
