I've been fasting for at least the past 12 months, possibly longer, and I'm not seeing the results that are often posted on this subreddit. I'd love to know if other people have experienced the same issues and what they were able to change to get better results.
The biggest issue is that I'm not actually losing weight. However, I am noticeably thinner, my clothes fit better and I feel better. So those are all wins but after 12 months there's literally been no change in weight? That seems odd. I know everyone's different and results will vary but I would expect to see some change in weight during this time period. Kinda makes me think the "eat whatever you want" mantra is oversimplified or I'm missing something.
I do exercise occasionally 1-3 per week and some of that is weight lifting but not to the extent that would cause me to lose fat and replace it all with heavier muscle.
Here's the background on what I've been doing:
* 18:6 most days of the week
* 20:4 occasionally
* Primarily skipping breakfast
* Sometimes I'll have breakfast with the family if I it's a special occasion or I choose to eat with them on the weekends.
* Lunches are probably the biggest change needed in my diet but most of the time they are leftovers.
* Wife generally cooks paleo meals for dinner but of course there's times that we deviate from that.

Would love any tips that the community could provide
Thanks

I don’t ascribe to “eat whatever you want” in the eating window. There are benefits to IF that go beyond weight loss, and it sounds like your body is slimming down because of them. IME weight loss with IF comes when you eat fewer calories than your TDEE.
