QUICK SNACK QUESTION!

Hey all! Hope your journeys are successful and your frequency is high! Good luck and positive vibes today!

So I am trying to bulk up, but I still have successfully programmed myself to only eating between the hours of 10am - 6pm.

An 8 hour period as I am also awake and functioning from 5am - 11pm

High protein whole, organic, non-gmo foods and high nutrient snacks and lots of it between tbose hours.

However, at night I have a nice sleepy time chamomille tea while I read a book! I always have enjoyed eating dark chocolate peanut clusters before bed, makes me sleep calmer and have dreams. However, with my fasting routine Ive been eating them before my final hour at 6 and havent had any benefits from them towards sleep.

I am wandering if I am maintaining proper fasting outside of my designated hours, would a cup of chocolate peanut clusters with my tea and a book be fine?

Around 8pm, so 2 hours before I go to bed.

Any advice would help, Im not very avid in the community as I just noticed that eating between certain hours regulated my rhythms so I decides to take up intermittent fasting and recently found that theres a whole acfive community behind it and am seeking some advice!

Please note that I’m not trying to lose weight! Just want to maintain a proper routine and schedule that works for me and enjoy life as well! Thanks!

Answer

That would break your fast and negate all the metabolic advantages you are trying to gain.

May as well not do IF if you are going to eat chocolate peanut clusters in the middle of your fast.

Drink the tea and skip the candy- it’s just habit. The tea is doing all the sleepytime work anyway.
