Answer

Boiled Cinnamon stick daily intake

Hello, folks.

I’m new here, actually just to ask a question occupying my mind. Most of you may know, Internet says taking too much cinnamon can lead to liver damage, toxicity and so on because of coumarin content of cassia cinnamon (which is generally available type of cinnamon).

I’ve researched everything about sizing cinnamon, how much teaspoon of cinnamon powder is equal to one cinnamon stick, and what size of stick is equal to half teaspoon of powder so on so forth.

I’m consuming cinnamon every day as a tea: boiling 2 cinnamon stick (which is 3.5 inches long) in water equal to one big cup of mine, then simmering for 10-15 minutes. I want to know, is those daily cinnamon dosages of 3 gram max, or 0.1 mg of coumarin per bodyweight (kg) relevant in case I’m boiling into water, not eating it. Am I at risk of overdosing while consuming it as a tea?

I will be grateful if someone informative can enlighten my concerns. Thanks in advance!

Answer

Heyo..

I’m looking to fill the gaps in my nutrition as I’m trying to lose weight and not eating an extensive range of foods.

Are multivitamins worth it? I hear some people say they do not have enough in them to be worth it.

Are those green shakes like A1 greens better and worth it?

What are your thoughts?
