Random Question...

Was wondering if this has anything to do with the fasting. I’ve been intermittent fasting since last Wednesday. First few days I was 16/8, then 20/4 every day since then. I’ve never had a problem with my lips before but they are burning. No idea why. Just a burning sensation. Been sipping ice water all evening to relieve the pain.

Just for reference if anyone know if it’s from something I’m eating or something I’m not eating all I’ve consumed all week is…

Water
Coffee
Protein shake (almond milk, protein powder, spinach, banana, peanut butter, raw egg)
Chicken Breast
Canned Tuna
Turkey Sausage
Tons of broccoli
Cauliflower
Peas
Eggs
Pasta (With tomato sauce, olive oil, garlic, onions)

Mostly all week I’ve eaten chicken and broccoli. The other stuff was here and there. Anyone heard of this before?

Answer

You might want to consult your doctor about the ‘burning lips’ problem, but what we would advice for beginners is to start slowly. You should start with the 12:12 or 14:10 methods if you’ve never done intermittent fasting before. This will allow your body to adjust to it, and you will be able to learn the basics of your new lifestyle. Best of luck! 👏👏

Could it be the tomato sauce? Have you had an issue with tomatoes before? Super random but we were on vacation in Italy and a friend ate so many tomato sandwiches (we were buying them on the vine fresh…so good lol) and her lips would burn after one
