Rapid weight loss and loose skin?

I’m on day 45 of strict water fasting for weight loss (22F). While I’ve lost about 30lbs and 5 inches on my waist, I noticed that my upper/inner thigh and upper arms have a fair amount of loose skin (It’s caused some complications with getting clothes to fit well).

Around how long does would take for this to absorb? Any tips on how to possibly accelerate it would be amazing!

Currently I’m using collagen firming creams and waiting. I’ve never experienced weight loss this rapid, so I’m not sure what to expect.

Answer

Skin stretches when you gain the weight. The extent to which it stretched becomes visible when you lose the weight. Some of it will tighten up. It depends on many factors but you have youth on your side.

People who lose weight slowly think it helps prevent loose skin because the timing of the weight loss is more inline with the time it takes for the skin to tighten up.

Once you start eating again focus on nutrition. Fuel your body with foods that will help your body rebuild.

You should see full results after a year or so. Then you can see if you want to do surgery or live with the skin. Building muscle will help fill out some of the loose skin.

Lose skin rarely “reabsorbs”. It’s just not how it works. If you’re losing a large amount of weight, or a lot of weight in a short period of time than you’re going to get it. Some of it may improve with time but if you want to make it less noticeable and still look good start lifting weights

Answer

In addition to the cream, add some dry brushing before your shower/bath. Maybe add a jojoba oil with the collagen cream.
After this fast, time and autophagy will help, as will your age and exercise.
