Ravenous hunger after 16 hours + lots of exercise

Hi everyone,

I’m currently a 6’ tall, 27 year old male,195 lbs, estimated 15-17% body fat. My goal is to get to \~10% BF and be around 175. I’ve been on the Snake Diet for a few months. In that time, I’ve lost and kept off \~20lbs and even made it through a 6.5 day fast.

I’ve been doing a lot of exercise lately (training for a marathon) and now can’t make it through even a 24 hour fast. When I was fatter, I could go easily go multiple days without eating, but now can hardly make 16 hours.

What should I do to keep losing fat while doing high calorie burn training - while not tanking my metabolism? Any help is well appreciated!

Answer

I can’t speak from experience but I think I recall in one of the videos Cole saying things are different when you’re less than 20% body fat, especially when you’re working out. I think his recommendation was to eat a very small meal before the workout to give you that energy.

Answer

Cole would suggest eating once a day in the morning as a breakfast meal. This is what I do and as long as I keep my cals at maintenance level, and regardless of how high my actuality level is, I am good for the entire day. I wake up hungry and eat a large meal right away and try to finish in an hour or less. I am still losing fat but energy is very high and I am not hungry during the day.
