Re Attempting 14- 21 day Water Fast. Going to keep trying until I accomplish one.
Hello fasting comrades!
I recently did many 2-4 day water fasts with the intention to do a minimum of 14 days, maximum of 21 days. I always break it before a week.
I am an experienced faster and have done multiple 5,7, 9 day fasts and a 12 day one before. Those times I’d always get false starts too. It always takes me a few tries until I finally stick to one longer than a week. I always use electrolytes too.
Finally took some before pictures on my phone and saved them, hopefully to motivate myself to get those after pics! Another motivator is I plan to start running again mid to late January once my injury heals. I know If I get leaner and lighter, I will be a much better runner by then. Here I go again, not giving up until I reach my goals! Wish me luck, because I definitely need it.
Good luck! I read that for each pound you lose, it takes six pounds of weight off your knees when you run (or something like that). Hopefully that is inspirational. I just completed a 19 day fast and I will never go that long again. See if you can get to 14, which will be your new personal best. I don’t personally recommend going way longer.
I started seriously fasting in November of last year, started off great but then fell off in the later half of the year. Then spent about a month trying to get an extended fast started, and here I am now on day 23! You’ll get there as long as you just don’t give up, it just takes a moment, haha.
