Recalculating caloric needs

For those of you who have lost a considerable amount of weight doing rolling fast or other variations of longer fast, longer than 24 hrs. Did you have to consciously reduce your caloric needs as you lost?

Also, side note: For those who refeed after 48 to 72 hours without ‘taking it slow’, how do you feel after meals? I usually eat a meal when I break my fast aound 2,000 to 2,4000 calories and have had no issues until now. Also what do you typically eat when breaking your fast?

Answer

I usually do 48s and 72s (preferably Sunday morning to Wednesday at lunch).I’m not careful at all with my refeeds. What I will do though, is make sure beforehand that I am prepared and that my pantry and fridge are stocked with sensible food items planned our for the refeed so I don’t reach out for like, take out.

What I usually go for is chicken broth with tortellini (or some other type of pasta), half a chocolate tablet (85% chocolate) for the prebiotic benefits + it feels great to break a fast with that hahah

Then I’ll have some Greek yogurt with ground flaxseed (for the fiber) + shelled peanuts.

Pretty much every refeed is the same.
