I just find i like them because my brain is conditioned to think processed equals bad, something satisfying about eating natural, i do add some herbs in now to mix things up a bit, like mixed herbs and garlic in a mushroom omelette for example

The answer is going to depend a lot on what kind of time and set-up you have to prepare food, and why is it your don’t currently like whole foods. Don’t know how to prepare them? Not sweet enough for you? Don’t have time to prepare them?

In general, you probably need to learn how to use spices and which cooking methods work best for different foods. Take Brussel sprouts - pretty gross if you just boil them with no flavoring. Incredibly tasty if you roast them in some olive oil (don’t be tempted to deep fry them) with a “pumpkin spice” blend (you can make the blend yourself, too) and a tiny amount of maple syrup.

And there are also very easy and tasty meals, like just a piece of peanut butter toast (whole grain bread) with some fresh fruit is a great way to start the day.

If you don’t know how to cook at all, I recommend subscribing to something like emeals for a while. You’ll get weekly meal plans with recipes, and after a few months you’ll get a knack for how cooking works. You could also go the old-fashioned route and buy a basic cookbook like Fannie Farmer or Joy of Cooking and follow along.
