I’m doing my longest fast of 6 days. I’ve tried to search here for what the refreshing process would be for this long of a fast. Can anyone give me some pointers?
I’m just wrapping up a 7-day fast tonight with a nice meal consisting of whatever I most feel like eating (which will not coincidentally contain a ton of protein and electrolytes). I’ve done approximately a dozen of these over the course of my life (this is my third in a row this year) and I have yet to experience any kind of discomfort arising from the meal I break my fast with.
If your experience has been different, and it sounds like experiences can differ, by all means ease your way back into eating - but I’m not sure it’s an ironclad necessity.
If anyone would like to reply with an explanation for why some people seem to need to break their fast more gently than others, I’d be curious to learn more, because it’s one of the things I regularly read on here that I find most confusing.
