I read through the Wiki on this subreddit and it covers refeeding syndrome I didn’t see a section about recommendations on refeeding when it’s time to break an extended fast. From my understanding slowly reintroduce healthy fats and a small salad. Avoid carbs due to insulin being so low. What do you all eat to break a 7 day fast?
I literally just watched a doctor’s YouTube video on this and they recommended bone broth, then wait an hour and do some fermented foods like sauerkraut or kefir, then wait an hour and do some steamed veggies. After that, you’re pretty much good to eat anything keto BUT they said to avoid animal products since they’ll be hard to digest in the first 24 hours after breaking your fast. But honestly… that seems excessive to me, I’ll probably do some salmon or chicken and a salad
I start with pickle juice, then chicken broth, then some sauerkraut day 1.

Very slowly and methodically. If my stomach is a little upset, I may take another day eating like day 1.

Then I introduce fruit and some veggies on day 2.

Meat on day 3

Carbs on day 4 (rice or sweet potatoes)

Now are you looking to lose weight with this 7 day water fast?
