Regular refeeds or Keto only?

My main goal for fasting is to lose weight. I’ve started a rolling 48hr routine with 1500cal refeeds. I’m not that active due to bad knees so I’m leaning towards strictly keto. Will going purely keto be that much more effective as opposed to a regular meal with carbs? Im also thinking that going all keto will also help with the inflammation that’s causing me pain.

Answer

IME eating keto makes fasting easier because keto has a hunger suppression element. Also, you won’t be pulling yourself in and out of ketosis, because you’ll always be in ketosis if you keep your refeed carbs low.

If you can do it, try it! The coolest part is you get to see how you feel and do with this and can make changes to tweak as you learn what you respond best to. But lots of people have really good inflammation response to keto and feel good while doing it. Also limits junk food options, which is never a bad thing!
