I eat between 9am and 5pm with most of my calories in the first half of my eating window. Much better sleep and energy. Waist is skrinking.
I sometimes have a vegetable soup, for supper instead of dinner, outside of my eating window. Negligible in terms of calories, but significant in terms of electrolytes and phytonutients, and for replacing old evening comfort bingeing habits. And for having something warm in the belly when living without indoor heating.
I currently start 5:00 a.m in the morning and finish my eating window at 1:00 p.m. But this is mostly to fuel my morning workouts. But before that I used to finish my last meal before 6:00 p.m slowly pushing it up-to 4:00 p.m. Lost a lot of body weight doing that. I am not sure what I am doing at the moment is any helpful then finishing my eating window before 6:00 p.m which yielded pretty good results. Guess I will know with time.
Yes. I didn’t see any results with a later eating window, because I tend to more than make up for the fasting by overeating in the evening. I now eat 6a-12p most days, and I have been consistently losing 2 lbs a week (I’m down 38 lbs so far). I also feel like I sleep better now.
I would thrive off 10am-6pm, because i naturally want dinner around 5pm. My dear husband doesn’t get off work until 6pm, so that puts dinner around 7. As much as the previous schedule would work for me, sitting down to eat dinner together is important to us too. So I wait for him. All this to say that sometimes our bodies have their own schedule that definitely works better. You do what works for you and feel comfortable and confident with.
I found it very hard to move to an earlier schedule after starting with a later one. However, starting with an early one and having time to make food for that window has been perfectly fine. For me, it is even better because I’m less likely to binge out of boredom and I feel I get more done in the evening after work.
