rolling a dry fast into a another dry fast or wet fast

I’m on my first dry fast now. I’ve previously done a number of water fasts.

I have completed 48 hours dry so far. I am planning on getting water around the 60 hour mark.

At that point I was thinking of turning this into a water fast. Also curious if I should consume some salts/electrolytes when breaking the dry portion of the fast. My digestive system feels shut-down and I’m coasting so I don’t want to start eating yet as there’s no sense wasting a good fast.

Answer

I personally think transitioning from a dry to a water fast is the best way to go. Extend to the fast and doesn’t shock the body to quickly into eating.

As for electrolytes that depends. Some people don’t take electrolytes when water fasting, some just take salt, some take more fancy cocktails. I probably would recommend against taking anything when initially breaking the dry fast. First cup or two just water. Then go from there.
