salt dangerous?

I saw an ad for this drink supplement called LMNT where it claims to have nearly 1G of salt a day. Does anyone take this much sodium or drink this supplement.

Answer

“The Dietary Guidelines for Americans, 2020-2025 recommends limiting sodium intake to 2,300 mg per day for people 14 years and older; and even less for those 13 years and younger.”

1g of sodium isn’t that much, it’s good if you’re working out

Answer

youre fine, high salt intake isnt all that dangerous to begin with unless you already have underlying health conditions, theres a channel on youtube called “What I’ve Learned” that covers salt intake very well.

Answer

That “1G of salt” drink is probably full of other antioxidants and electrolytes for someone exercising, which means, it’s totally fine. Again… Consume too much salt/sodium? Just drink more water. Problem solved (Most of the time).
