Short dry fasts or long alternating fasts

What do you think is the best? Fasting for a fortnight or more at a time (dry fasting and water fasting in alternation) or dry fasting for two to three days and then breaking the fast followed by another dry fast?

There are so many different opinions on this.

Answer

It depends on your goal, my goal is fast weightloss so I do rounds of 5-7 days dry fasting with one refeed day inbetween. I’m on my second round of fasting, 5 days in and I’m about 24 lbs down from where I started. It’s by far the quickest weightloss, but it can be mentally challenging for those with heavy addictions. You don’t have to go as extreme, shorter circuits are also good! Goodluck.

If you’re not in ketosis dry fasting is too hard on your body, if is something to keep jumping in and out I suggest water fasting, if you keep yourself ketogenic dry fasting maybe is better, I prefer dry fasting instead of water one, it’s just easier for me do 72s being dry.
