I’ve hit a plateau and unable lose more weight than I had hoped. Have been doing 16:8 with one cheat day. Should I incorporate 36 hours fast once a week?
I hit a plateau after a while of doing 18/6 and tried a 36 hour fast. It ended up being closer to a 40 hour… I had dinner, then fasted the following day, then was planning on breakfast the next day but didn’t actually break my fast til lunch. I broke it by eating a grilled chicken breast first for the protein. I went right back into 18/6 after that. It definitely got the weight loss moving again.
Just make sure you listen to your body! Stay hydrated and add salt if you feel you need it. And breaking your fast early if necessary isn’t a failure.
