20F , 168cm , 58kg
I have been doing 18:6 , sometimes 19:5 for about 2 weeks now. I’ve noticed that when I get up in the morning, my eyes go black (low iron?) And it takes like 1 minute for it to get back to normal and I can see. I took my blood pressure after dinner was 83 64 which is pretty low too, it never use to be that low. I am getting extremely tired so much more earlier around 6pm, and my mind just shuts off around this time and the only place I wanna be is my bed lol I eat usually 2 meals a day and maybe one snack. If I had to guess it would be around 1500-1600cals. I never had these symptoms before I started fasting, and I don’t know if I should change to prevent anything bad from happening. The issue is, fasting helps me a lot with digestion and I’ve noticed I feel so much better , lighter, and look better as well from not constantly eating around the clock.
tbh this aeems more like a question for your doctor. fasting is for health, and whatever is going on, doesnt sound healthy. they should probs get blood work done. if u ever feel cold more so than normal it could be an iron problem. im not a doc tho. i hope u feel better
It sounds like low blood pressure, you probably need more salt since salt deficiency causes low blood pressure. How much salt is in your food? How much you need varies on activity level and such, but try to get at least 5 grams per day in total spread across your meals and during your fasting window.
It could be iron deficiency, but you should probably get that checked with a blood test first since taking too much iron can be bad for you.
When I fast I take salt tablets, iron pills, folic acid and potassium pills.
Hydrating is very important and myself is very dehydrated now because I’m sick.
I also allow myself bananas and two cups of fruit during my fasting process, I do not consider bananas fruit and will eat 1-2 a day.
Sounds like you’re missing some nutrients
