Hi everyone, typically I do OMAD in the evenings from Mon - Thurs then eat normally in fri sat sun. This has been working for me (I’m 6 foot and started at 89kg now I’m about 84) I’d say my ideal weight is 80kg so slowly getting there.
The thing is recently I’ve started back at the gym and also jiu jitsu which trun mon-thurs. I hate going to these on and empty stomach so I eat first but I also can’t eat too much or else I’ll chunder. Do you think I should widen my gap to about 4-9pm to accommodate this? It is at least in lieu of more exercise. And to balance it, I could keep this up on weekends too.
First I’m the grammar police, but more so the usage police. You don’t mean in lieu of, which means despite or instead. You mean that in light of your jiu jitsu you want some easy to burn calories.
That part is on you and it’s almost all trial and error. Obviously not stopping on the way to jiu jitsu for McDonald’s, but maybe throw in a workout shake and see how that goes. 4-9 is a 19 hour fast and that’s a good strong weight loss strategy still.
