Should I workout on top of IF?

Will it help me lose more weight, if I already lose some with intermittent fasting?

Movement is Always better than no movement. Regardless of weight loss, it aids the body in keeping it running smoothly. No movement means you’ll age with your body running like an old rusted machine not doing a very good job eventually.

The additional weight loss is just an added bonus. Even just 10 mins a day of a couple of basic exercises will help, even if the weight loss it produces isn’t a whole lot.

Answer

yes absolutely! :)
it has many benefits…
but the kind of workout may depend on your way of fasting.

personally I do NOMED and on fasting days I only do moderate crosstrainer workout (or similar intensity with yoga, or fast walking) - no intense long workout.

and on eating days I do HIIT and consume some protein afterwards (like skyr, cheese, hummus, meat/fish or something, I don’t do supplements)

In general, having a regular physical activity is always good. It could be whatever you want, walking, running, swimming, gym, team sports…. The only thing to be mindfull is not to reward your effort with food. The “I ran 5k, I can have a cookie” is a big trap.

Sport will also keep your metabolism up, and I believe it also helps prevent loose skin .

You CAN loose weight just on IF without any sport, it it will help and improve your overall quality of life.
