Answer

As we learned from Paracelsus in the 16th century “The dose makes the poison”. In your case said dose is much smaller than to the population at large. Having said that you still do need magnesium to support key functions so it is a question of how much you should take.

We don’t know your condition or what side effects you get with too much magnesium. Even if we did this is definitely a question for the physician that diagnosed you with it. Chances are you want to take a smaller dose as prescribed by a doctor, 30 days is not a trivial amount of fasting.

Answer

But you must have been getting magnesium in your regular diet? It’s very hard to avoid it altogether. So surely you need to supplement It? You may have to avoid high doses but avoiding it altogether sounds unlikely?
