Snake Juice Laxative Effect

I’m on day 14 of a 30 day fast and all is going pretty well. The snake juice recipe has allowed me to go further than ever before. That said, for those who are interested, there is a slight laxative effect. Through my research, it appears that it’s the epson salt that has this effect. It’s a pretty mild effect and if you sip the snake juice then there’s not much of an effect, but it’s there. Either find a different source for magnesium or deal with some wet poos every once in a while. To be honest, I don’t like the idea of wasted in my digestive system for 30 days so don’t mind the bit of a laxative effect. Just thought folks should know since it’s a popular recipe.

Mine looks as follows… 1/2 teaspoon epson salt, 1/2 teaspoon hymalayan salt, 1 tsp baking soda, 1 tsp nusalt into half gallon of water. I drink about 1.5 of these per day. Drinking only one left me lightheaded at times, so your mileage may vary.

Answer

Magnesium citrate is a typical culprit for laxative effect, which can be substituted for magnesium glycinate, though that may make you sleepy. You can even do magnesium oxide, which supposedly doesn’t absorb as well, but the difference is supposed to be negligible.
