Stall that doesn’t feel like a stall?

Last couple of weeks I keep losing and gaining the same 3-5lbs (or so it seems). Like I’ll suddenly be 3 lbs down, and despite efforts to lock it in…a couple of days later I’m right back where I was. And this has gone on for several weeks. Not unusual, but a little frustrating as I get closer to goal to slow down in progress.

But here’s the part that is out of the ordinary. Despite not really being any lighter, I definitely feel it. Clothes are a bit loser, I look more trim in the mirror, I can feel less fat in the mid section when I press down.

It’s really hard to say - but is it possible that some of this cycling as been a bit of unplanned body recomp? That I may be gaining and losing pounds but not in equal proportion fat and muscle?

The big change I’ve made in the last couple of weeks is paying a lot closer attention to getting sufficient proteins every day. I did figure this would be beneficial over time, but I’m wondering if that’s already happening?

If you can feel it with your clothing etc then I wouldn’t worry so much about the numbers, keep us updated. (I know some people do carb cycling to help with stalls but it sounds like you’re doing fine without it.)
