Started the new year with dry fast, how shall I break it?

Hi Question!

I started this new year (2023) with dry fast (no food / water).

​

Planning to wrap it up tomorrow morning 4am (in about 12 hours, totaling 32 hours dry fast).

​

I have gym (weights) training at 5am.

​

Question: Should I eat my proteins (I have chicken breasts prepared) before or after the fast? My goal is to preserve as much muscles as possible.

Answer

Anything under 3 days doesn’t require a breaking protocol. Get hydrated with water and ideally eat fruits, broth and soups. You might or might not be able for a more solid dinner. Next day back to normal
