Starting 60 hour fast tomorrow

Sunday night post dinner to Wednesday morning breakfast. Goal: shed weight and give body some rest. Discipline myself.

Will be doing these Monday n Tuesday fasts every week and will throw a longer one in every month.

I do the same thing each week but start at 11pm Saturday instead of Sunday. I find it easier to break it up and not doing it all on workdays.

First day is always easy - I only get hungry at night. Second day might get hungry by the afternoon but knowing the benefits of pushing through to bedtime helps with the will power. By the time I get hungry on the last day I’ll only have an hour or two to go.

One thing that helps me, and this is just from experience, is knowing when those hungry times will be and pushing through them. It isn’t a 60 hour fast - it’s about 12 hours (combined) where I will feel hunger.

People on low carb diets usually have an easier time - not my thing but if you are having a hard time in your first 24 hours it might be something to explore.

Hey, me too! This will be my first week, but I plan on fasting Sunday night through Wednesday. Then, fast after dinner Wednesday to dinner Friday. It’s hard for me to fast over the weekend, so I plan on having those as normal eating days. I have a lot of weight I need to lose.
